While Atlanta had already held a vice-grip hold on Hip Hop at the time, the projected that released hit songs “X,” “Savage Mode” and “No Advance” introduced a new regime of young talents that are now today’s biggest names. Now, four years and three albums later, 21 and Metro reunite for a patiently-awaited sequel in today’s Savage Mode 2.
Extending from the nine-song original to a 15-track blockbuster. A primed 21 and Metro delivers a cinematic masterpiece in an audio treatment. With songs like “Mr. Right Now,” “RIP Luv” and the lead single “Runnin,” 21 Savage elevates the original heartless concept with even more ruthless desires but executed with in-depth precision and skill. Metro digs deep for the darker effects which takes 21 Savage to deeper waters but the two, in unison, unearth some of the best Hip Hop of 2020 yet.
