Bella Hadid and The Weeknd are exes that you thought would never exist!
Bella Hadid celebrated her 23rd birthday in New York at L’Avenue at Saks’ cocktail lounge Le Chalet.
Mom Yolanda Hadid, sister Gigi Hadid, and brother Anwar Hadid, along with his girlfriend Dua Lipa, all attended her birthday party.
Bella’s ex, The Weeknd surprised her after the group serenaded her with “Happy Birthday,” Page Six was told.
Bella and the “Secrets” crooner, downed two tequila shots at the bar with her friends.
Later, The Weeknd was seen snapping photos of Bella and her friend and celebrity manicurist Mei Kawajiri.
The evening appeared to take a cozy turn when the singer fed Bella macaroons.
Maybe the two will rekindle? Only time can tell!
Early in the evening, Anwar “took it upon himself” to play DJ. He did this while using a phone that was plugged into the bar’s speaker system to curate the soundtrack.
Other attendees included Joan Smalls, Kaia Gerber, Stella Maxwell, Lily-Rose Depp, Jesse Jo Stark, and Justine Skye.
Also, when the clock struck midnight, L’Avenue surprised the supermodel with an 11-tier macaroon “cake” surrounded by two smaller, four-tier macaroon towers complete with birthday candles.
Given the alcohol served at the party — Bella sipped on margaritas and ordered magnum bottles of Grey Goose in addition to her tequila shots — the restaurant passed around bowls of French fries.
Although it’s unclear when the former couple broke up, a source confirmed the split to E! News in early August.
Fashion Week was reportedly a major source of conflict for the pair — she was busy prepping for the runway, while he was promoting his movie with Adam Sandler, “Uncut Gems” — and the reason why they chose to split.
