There will be no Avengers Assembling for Marvel’s next movie.
Black Widow is the next Marvel character to get her solo movie. The movie is set to be released on May 1, 2020. Not only will this be Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanova solo movie debut, but it will also be Marvel’s second movie having a female lead hero. Its first being Captain Marvel. So can Black Widow be a hit without the Avengers backing her up?

Yes, I believe that the Black Widow solo movie will be a hit for many reasons. One is that she is not alone. In the new movie trailer, you see a bunch of Marvel heavy hitters coming in. First, you have The Red Guardian played by David Harbour. Russia’s answer to Captain America. Next, you have the antagonist, Taskmaster. A mercenary who can mimic mostly all marvels superheroes martial art moves. Fans were pleased to hear that these characters will be in the mix of the movie.

The last time we saw Natasha Romanova, she sacrifices herself in Avengers: Endgame to get the soul stone. Knowing that she is dead in the present MCU(Marvel Cinematic Universe) time means that this movie will be a prequel, and people are unsure of what it is about.
It’s also unsure who is playing Task-Masker, so its a secret that will all be waiting for. With Captain Marvel making over a billion dollars. Marvel is hoping to do the same for its spy turn hero. I’m excited about the movie and how it connects to the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
