Chrisley’s might not know best after all. Todd and Julie are in big trouble.
Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, are facing charges of tax evasion and fraud. According to Page Six, the married couple has been lying and providing false information regarding their financial standings for years. Ultimately Chrisley’s frauding Uncle Sam, could result in jail time.
It was on Tuesday that they received a 12 count federal indictment. If found guilty, they could face up to 30 years in prison. Georgia’s Northern District filed the charges. Their accountant, Peter Tarantino, is in trouble too.
US attorney Byung J. Pak released a statement explaining the charges.
“Todd and Julie Chrisley face charges for deceiving several banks to secure millions in loans, alongside accusations of evading federal taxes on their earnings.”

He adds that there is no running away from the law.
“Celebrities experience the same justice as everyone else. Theseare significant federal charges, and they will address them in court.”
But Pak will have to prove it first. Todd Chrisley is standing by his innocence and claims he and his wife are the victims in a setup.
Todd says that someone he used to know is trying to destroy his family and their reputation.
“He secretly bugged our house. After we let him go and took legal action, things took a darker turn. Seeking retaliation, he presented fake documents to the U.S. Attorney’s office, accusing us of financial wrongdoing like tax evasion and bank fraud. Although this grabbed their attention, once we clarified the situation and exposed his motives, they saw through the lies and dismissed his claims.”
The Chrisley family has been dealing with the issue of tax evasion since 2017. They’ve also been dealing with bankruptcy. Todd filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2012.
Guilty or not…prosecutors are on their trail, and won’t rest until they get the truth out.
