Back in the day, men owned and pretty much dominated all of HipHop. Luckily, those days have come to an end. Nowadays, more and more women have emerged into the rap scene, bringing something to the table. More importantly, they’ve changed the entire scope of HipHop culture forever.
Female emcees like City Girls, Coi Leray and Lakeyah have especially impacted the culture. In celebration of their successes, these women of HipHop decided to turn up backstage before doing a performance. Not only did the turn up, but they danced it out to the City Girls’ new track “Twerkulator.” There’s nothing better than seeing women supporting other women.
The Girls Turn Up Backstage
The entertainment business has some twisted fascination with pitting women against each other. More often than not, the media loves stirring up drama between female rappers. Though, the City Girls, Coi Leray and Lakeyah have risen above the white noise. Recently, the rap duo City Girls posted a video on TikTok of them turning up backstage with Coi Leray and Lakeyah.
This past Saturday, the ladies turned up backstage at a Mississippi concert Coi Leray and the Miami duo had been scheduled to attend. Moments before performing, the leading ladies decided to dance it out to City Girls new “Twerkulator” track. Furthermore, the four women shared the video footage of them dancing to each other’s socials. Looks like the girls had an awesome warm-up session.
They Served Looks
Not only did the female rappers slay with their dance moves, but also served with their individual looks. While the City Girls sported matching demni body suits, Lakeyah wore an all red ensemble with long flowing locks. However, Coi Leray’s all white two-piece stole the show. Not only have these women become trailblazers in the rap scene, but their style has become a staple.
