Dave Bautista might leave the MCU after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
“As far as my obligations, I’ve got Guardians 3, and that’s going to be the end of Drax, Bautista says. His decision shocked fans everywhere who claim their is no Guardians of the Galaxy without Drax.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is releasing on May 5th, 2023. Discussions about a Drax and Mantis spinoff film have ceased, and the actor is prepared to leave the character behind. The future of Drax’s character and how his story will conclude is yet to be revealed. Fans are eager for closure and a satisfying ending to Drax’s journey.

Bautista will be starring in Zack Snyder’s zombie heist movie, Army of Dead on Netflix. Dave Bautista apparently turned down a role in the Suicide Squad for this film which has us intrigued as Suicide Squad is a hit film that he would be perfect in. “I read the script and [Army of the Dead] was a lot deeper and had more layers than I thought. Also, to be quite frank, I wanted to work with Zack.”
In the end, Army of the Dead had more to offer the wrestler turned actor, more money and a chance to work with Snyder. He’s pretty satisfied with his decision and even more excited about working with Snyder who has already garnished quite a serious reputation in the comic world.
