DMX’s Son Shows Off Musical Talent in Piano Cover of ‘Ruff Ryders’ Anthem’

This is often due to a catchy beat or melodic hook, but some tracks have transcended the music industry and touched fans’ hearts across generations for their deeper meaning. One such song is DMX’s 1998 single “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem.” 

DMX’s son Exodus recently showed off his musical talents with an impressive piano cover of the multi-platinum hit. In a video posted to the Instagram page of X’s late fiancee Desiree Lindstrom, Exodus can be seen playing the opening of the record with ease while smiling for the camera. “Y’all should have known this was coming,” she captioned the clip. “A small tribute to his daddy!” She also tagged the producer who crafted the original 1998 track, Swizz Beatz.

Fans fawned over the adorable clip, with many praising the young boy’s talent and encouraging him to continue his musical journey. Those who knew X, who died in April 2021 of heart failure, were no doubt proud of his grandson’s performance as well.
