Donald Trump Says Jews Who Support Democrats Are ‘Disloyal’

Once again, Donald Trump voices his “beliefs.”
In a bold statement, Donald Trump claims that Jewish Americans supporting the Democratic Party display “either a lack of knowledge or disloyalty.” His words have ignited a wave of criticism.

Trump made these remarks while addressing the press in the Oval Office, discussing two Democratic congresswomen who faced entry issues into Israel. This stems from their involvement in a movement against international support for the country due to its treatment of Palestinians, as reported by CNN.

“Even talking about cutting off aid to Israel because of two people who dislike Israel and Jewish people — I can’t believe we’re having this conversation,” Trump expressed. He questioned the direction of the Democratic Party, emphasizing support for these two individuals over Israel. He further stated, “Any Jewish people voting for a Democrat — it signals either a lack of knowledge or disloyalty.”

Trump did not clarify what he meant by “disloyalty.” His language, however, sparked associations with the offensive stereotype of Jews having “dual loyalty” and prioritizing Israel over their own countries, according to The Hollywood Unlocked.

Donald Trump’s comments have led to significant backlash, leaving no room for misinterpretation.

Presidential candidate Joe Biden responded to Trump’s remarks, stating, “Mr. President, these comments are insulting and inexcusable—just like your previous dual loyalty insinuations. Stop dividing Americans and disparaging your fellow citizens. It may not be beneath you, but it is beneath the office you hold.”
