Twitch streamer Kai Cenat became the subject of a lyrical uproar when Drake called him out in a freshly leaked diss track. This track has been making waves across the social media landscape since it was released on April 13th and is reputedly in response to Kendrick Lamar’s disses on Drake and J Cole in “Like That” by Future and Metro Boomin from their latest album.

The diss track, intriguingly titled “Push Ups (Drop and Give Me Fifty),” didn’t just stop at Kendrick. Naturally, a lyrical punch was directed at a dozen other rap idols, including J Cole, Rick Ross, Future, The Weeknd, and even the producer Metro Boomin. But the name Kai Cenat hurt the Twitch world the most.
In somewhat of a similar occurrence, in a stream conducted on April 14, 2024, Cenat seems surprised and happy upon hearing Drake name-drop him. His reaction is marked with exclamations and various laughter sounds, and he whispers, “I like this. Oh. (The streamer bursts out laughing) I like this, bruh. Oh my gosh. We got. We got motion. Yo, wait, wait, wait, hold on, we got motion. Wheeheeehaat? Nah, I heard the line.”
Once Kai knew what had occurred, he quickly went live on Twitch and played the song for hundreds of thousands of viewers. When he heard “Beggin Kai Cenat, boy, you not fucking beatin’ us,” Kai Cenat was hysterical and paused the track. “Rewind the song! I enjoy this! I enjoy this, bruh! Oh my days, we’re in motion”.
This implies that numerous rappers in the business would like to be placed on the stream since this lyric acknowledges his pull in the industry. Furthermore, Kai later said on his stream, “The only eggs begging me to stream y’all is the f*cking labels.”
Some fans theorize this might be a subtle diss too. Previously, Kanye commented, “Don’t play with me,” after feeling antagonized during a public dispute. The artist was outraged when Kai wore his new YZY sweatpants on stream and claimed they were too big.
Despite that, it is not the first time Drake mentions Kai Gio in his songs. In “First Person Shooter” from the previous album, the rapper indirectly complimented Kai for his success as a command streamer: my youngers are more prosperous than you rappers, and they all stream.
Drake and Kai established their friendship the previous year, given that the rapper was regularly featured on Kai’s Twitch streams. He also mentioned Kai at his last festival, and the team can not wait to see what will happen with this union.
