Drake, the acclaimed artist, has once again proven his mettle with a triumphant year behind him. He took a moment to bask in his victories and confront his detractors.
Drake’s Triumphant Year
Currently soaking up the sun in Turks and Caicos, Drake seized the opportunity to commandeer Stake’s livestream over the weekend. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his audience for their unwavering support throughout 2023.
“Each one of you deserves my deepest thanks. What a phenomenal year it’s been. I’m overwhelmed by your love and support,” he shared. This year saw the release of his album ‘For All the Dogs’ and its subsequent update ‘For All the Dogs Scary Hours Edition’. He also successfully wrapped up the first leg of his ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour alongside 21 Savage.
Confronting the Critics
While he showered his fans with appreciation, he didn’t shy away from addressing his critics. His tone took a sharp turn as he fired back at his detractors.
“All you doubters, underachievers, and tweet-and-deleters, you sicken me. Look into my eyes, do you dare to act? Just as I thought,” he retorted, bringing his face close to the camera for emphasis.
Speculations about Metro Boomin
The target of Drake’s ire remains a mystery, but fans speculate that it might be directed towards Metro Boomin. This conjecture stems from a recent post on X (previously known as Twitter) about Drake’s collaborative album ‘Her Loss’ with 21 Savage, which was subsequently deleted.

Despite Metro Boomin’s remarks, he holds producer credits on the single ‘More M’s’ from ‘Her Loss’ and has produced numerous tracks for Drake in the past, including the joint tape with Future ‘What A Time To Be Alive’.
Upcoming Tour in 2024
Drake is set to resume his tour in 2024, now rebranded as ‘All a Blur Tour – Big as the What?’ with J. Cole replacing 21 Savage.
Drake is basking in the glory of a successful year, acknowledging that his achievements wouldn’t have been possible without his supporters’ love and his haters’ ill-will.

On a Sunday, Drake took to IG to commemorate his 2023. He released his thirteenth No. 1 album “For All The Dogs” and ended the year as Spotify’s most-streamed artist.
Drake recognized that his success was fueled by his fans’ relentless support.
Metro Boomin’s Disgruntlement
Drake didn’t hold back in expressing his disdain for the “nonbelievers, underachievers, and tweet-and-deleters”. Fans were quick to recall Metro Boomin’s subtle dig at Drake on X a few weeks ago.
Metro Boomin was disgruntled that Drake and 21 Savage’s “Her Loss” was garnering more attention at award shows than his “Heroes & Villains” project, although the reason remains unclear.

Both albums have been nominated for Best Rap Album at the upcoming Grammys. However, Drake expressed his disgust for such individuals and dared them to confront him.
If the same issues that threatened to sideline him for a year persist, haters will have to keep their sentiments under wraps. Drake is set to be in the limelight next year, touring with J. Cole.
