Eminem shares text message-themed teaser to Unveil New Music Release Date

Sometimes there is an electric smell in a world where music comprises the universal language and that which comes from the anticipation of new tunes by our favorite artists. When it is Eminem, the hype goes through the roof. The 51-year-old rapper dropped a major clue that new music is on the way, and fans are hyped to the max.

Eminem the Rapper has taken to Instagram with a text message conversation video that is from Friday, May 31st, 12:00 a.m. Sent to “all contacts”: “…and for my last trick!” The cryptic message has fans wondering whether it indicates that a single from the album or, better yet, if the whole catalogue is being released on that date.

The biggest tip, of course, has fans on edge: the text message teaser, hinting that new music may be dropping as soon as May 31. Besides one cryptic text message teaser on Instagram, there is no mention of any explicit teasers or hints, but the buzz in the air says something else.

This latest music is expected to be on “The Death of Slim Shady,” Eminem’s long-awaited twelfth studio album announced way back in April 2024. The title alone gives some hint to a radical turn away from what came before—new, introspective points of view.

Em’s long-time producer, Dr. Dre, has let it out there that the album will be released in 2024 during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. While Eminem has yet to make that official announcement, he has released the title of the album: The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace). There are already rumors circling that this could possibly be his last album, but we shall see. In any case, all fans of Eminem have something for that to really look forward to!

Hints of potential collaborations that could feature in the upcoming Eminem album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace), have also remained unconcealed. A teaser from the album shows cameos from Eminem’s long-time friend and collaborator 50 Cent. Further, according to an interview with The National, long-time collaborator Luis Resto has revealed that he has been contributing sporadically on Eminem’s new album since 2021. A complete list of collaborations on these albums is yet to be confirmed. For now, we can only wait for the album to drop.

Eminem’s latest full-length was January 2020’s surprise-released “Music to Be Murdered By.” The album smashed in at #1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hit single “Godzilla,” featuring Jucie WRLD, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Being as such, the facts in how fans must be sitting on tenterhooks for a new album speak loads about his professional acumen!

All well said and done, Eminem is well set to back in the music market with his lyrical force. So are we ready to sit back and watch the death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) in the market? With every second running, the answer to this question gets closer. Would this be the last trick for Eminem? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure: the world is ready for more of Eminem’s music. 🎵
