Finesse2tymes Responds to Responsibility Over GloRilla Concert Deaths

Memphis-born rapper Finesse2tymes isn’t your average run-of-the-mill rapper. After serving time behind bars, he came back with an arsenal of tracks that will have you coming back for more.

After hearing about the fatal stampede at Rochester Main Street Armory that killed one person and injured seven others, Finesse2tymes responded in a very somber way. He said, “I’m just now hearing about what happened wtf praying everybody is ok”.

    1. It was a tragedy

Rapper Finesse2tymes recently shared a social media post responding to responsibility over GloRilla concert deaths. The rapper said he had heard the news, but didn’t have any ties to the event.

Several people were killed after a crowd surged during the GloRilla and Finesse2tymes concert on Sunday (March 5) in Rochester, New York. According to police, a false fear of gunfire sent people into a stampede.

The incident at the Main Street Armory is being investigated by multiple agencies. Mayor Malik Evans said Monday that the tragedy was totally unacceptable.

The fatal stampede, which occurred after GloRilla and Finesse2tymes finished performing Sunday night, is the latest in a long line of deadly crowd surges at concerts and other large events. It follows a 2021 tragedy at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival in Houston that killed 10 people and injured hundreds.

    2. We are praying for the families

Memphis-based rapper Finesse2tymes, who was performing with GloRilla at a concert in Rochester on Sunday night (March 5), has responded to responsibility over the deaths of two people. He’s laughing at the notion that he is to blame for an apparent stampede at the venue.

The incident at the Rochester Main Street Armory, which had a capacity of 5,000, happened after a false report that someone was carrying a gun led fans to panic and rush the building’s exits. Police said they did not have evidence of gunshots being fired, but people were trampled when the crowd surged.

Two women died, including one who has been identified as Rhondesia Belton, 33, of Buffalo. Another woman, who has not yet been named, was in critical condition after her injuries were discovered. Several other people were also injured and taken to hospitals.

    3. We are sorry

One woman died and two were critically injured during a stampede after false reports of gunshots sent fans rushing for the exits at a concert by Grammy-nominated rapper GloRilla. The event happened at the Main Street Armory in Rochester, New York, Sunday night, according to a police statement.

Mayor Malik Evans of Rochester said that the deadly stampede was “totally unacceptable.” He also promised to investigate whether the music venue had the necessary safety measures in place for a large crowd.

The fatal crush happened after a concert featuring GloRilla and Finesse2tymes, who are both from Memphis. The concert ended at about 11 p.m. and people began to surge dangerously towards the exits, causing the stampede, Smith said at a news briefing Monday.

    4. We are not blaming anyone

In response to the tragedy, Finesse2tymes has responded with some levity. He posted on Instagram that he was laughing at the notion that all of the blame is being placed on him because of what happened at his and GloRilla’s concert in Rochester, New York.

The rappers were performing at the Main Street Armory on Sunday night when a stampede began. People rushed toward the exits after they heard what appeared to be gunshots inside the 5,000-capacity venue.

Afterward, police found three injured women and transported them to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. One of them, a 33-year-old woman named Rhondesia Belton of Buffalo, New York, died.

Mayor Malik Evans called the deadly stampede “totally unacceptable.” He promised an investigation into whether the Main Street Armory had the proper safety measures in place for a large crowd. In addition, Smith said the police department had asked people to submit photos and videos from the show so investigators could piece together what happened.
