Zac Stacy Assaults Ex-Girlfriend
Former NFL player Zac Stacy violently attacked his ex-girlfriend, Kristin Evans, in the presence of their 5-month-old son. The incident took place last weekend in Oakland; however, police have now gotten involved.
The world was quick to see Stacy beat the mother of his child on camera, and it took over social media. Many are in shock at what the ex-NFL player did, but one thing’s for sure he can’t run anymore.
In Florida, the former running back for Vanderbilt University was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 18. According to reports, police charged him with aggravated battery and criminal mischief. It was a thought he may have fled the state “with the intention of turning himself in.” After he learned that Oakland police had issued a warrant for his arrest following the alleged assault of his ex-girlfriend.
Evans called the police shortly after the attack. When cops arrived less than 2 minutes later, the running back fled the scene. County Judge Andrew Bain ordered Stacy to surrender his passport if granted release.
Ex-NFL Player Arrested and Charged
Stacy’s bond is at $10,150 in felony charges, and the court ordered him to have no contact with his son’s mom. If released to not possess any firearm or weapons. The officers had responded to an emergency call on Saturday, Nov. 13, after 2pm regarding the incident. Police later determined it to be “a domestic violence” case.
According to Oakland police Detective Shawn Dozier’s affidavit, he viewed a surveillance video that captured Stacy hitting Evans twice, causing her to fall to the ground. He then picked her up and forcefully threw her into a 65-inch television.
“…pleading with Stacy to stop, he picked her up, and body-slammed her down onto the baby walker, causing the object to break as she fell,” Dozier said.
Surveillance Gone Viral
A public Facebook post, Evans shared multiple clips of the incident that have gone viral, and since then, Orlando police arrested the ex-St. Louis Rams player overnight.
The videos were released worldwide and caught by NFL stars, and former teammate Davante Adam was not short of his stance.
“Any man that puts his hands on a woman is a coward. Can’t believe what I just saw,” Packer’s receiver Davante Adams tweeted. “It’s surprising to be with someone for a few years and have no knowledge of the nonsense they engage in behind closed doors.”
Ex-Girlfriend Breaks Free, and For Her Safety
Evans had abused Stacy for a long time. It was time the world saw Stacy’s true colors. But most importantly, she feared for her safety.
“He has become increasingly violent since May when I was pregnant. He also attacked me shortly before our son was born. He won’t stop. He wants to kill me, and he believes he has valid reasons for his actions.”
Cops tell TMZ they’ve moved Evans to an undisclosed location for her safety. Until then, the future can only say what’s in store for this ex-former NFL player.
