Gucci Mane Says He Misses His 1017 Signee Big Scarr

Recently, news hit that Alexander Woods, also known as 1017’s rapper Big Scarr, passed away. Furthermore, the star was widely-known for his 2021 project Big Grim Reaper. Additionally, he’s collaborated with his other 1017 label mates such as Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano on several tracks.

Unfortunately, the news came during a time when the rap community is still mourning the loss of other slain rappers like Takeoff and RnBRock. Recently, Gucci Mane mourned over his friend and 1017 signee Big Scarr on social media.

The Details Surrounding His Sudden Death

In the last few years, rappers have been rising through the ranks. Unfortunately, not everyone can handle the life of fame and fortune. As mentioned before, on-the-rise rapper Big Scarr recently passed away. The 1017 star was found dead at just 22 years old.

Unfortunately, the Gossip of the City reported that Scarr “overdosed on percs in front of his girlfriend.” It goes without saying that drugs or any self-medication is never the answer to any of our problems. The condolences and tributes have started pouring in from several stars, including Gucci Mane.

Recently, the 1017 CEO took to Instagram where he confirmed Scarr’s death. The star expressed how deeply he misses him. “This hurt 😢 I’m a miss you @bigscarr 💔,” he wrote in the captions of a post, full of photos of Scarr.

Other stars such as Big30 and Enchanting have also given their condolences. The young star’s death hits hard for many folks.

He Made It Past 18-Years Old

The star rapper was known for many things, including his lyricism and distinctive big voice. Most fans even remember Big Scarr’s statement about growing up in South Memphis.

During an interview with Audiomack, Scarr shared that a person was lucky enough to make it to 18. Growing up, the South Memphis star witnessed a lot of death. Though, he beat the statistics and made it to his early 20s. We’re sure that Gucci Mane and others are proud of what the 2022 XXL Freshman star achieved thus far.
