    Everything You Need To Know For Music’s Most Unpredictable Night

    The occasionally controversial MTV Video Music Awards will be presented on this coming Monday night at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

    From King Bey, Cardi Bb, Jay-Z, and J-Lo, this year is slated to be as iconic as ever. Here’s everything we know about the Moonman trophies, tributes, and performances.

    Nominations

    Cardi B is set to open the show and is leading the Moonman race with ten nominations after dropping her debut album Invasion of Privacy in March and then becoming a new mother this summer. Beyonce and Jay-Z are trailing closely with eight nominations, followed by Childish Gambino with seven. Check out the full listing here.

    Jenny from the block? 

    This year Jennifer Lopez will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Previous honorees have included Rihanna, Justing Timberlake, Beyonce, Kanye West, Madonna, and Pink. Jennifer Lopez is also set to take the stage this year, a first since the 2001 VMAs, She is also nominated this year in two categories for her new single “Dinero.”

    Performers

    So far, we know the following list of performers to include Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Travis Scott, Post Malone and Nicki Minaj. Although MYV has yet to announce an official tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, we know that she will be honored in some way.

    The Host

    All we can say is expect the unexpected. There is no official host, but some of the presenters include Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, and Blake Lively.

    How to watch? 

    The show will air live on MTV at 9pm EST/6 pm PST. In other VMA news, should we still get hype for the show?
