J.Howell Sheds Pain In The New Visual For “Why You Hurting Me”

J.Howell, a popular new Memphis singer-songwriter, releases the new visual for his latest single, titled “Why You Hurting Me.” A song about washing away past pain, Howell links with director Thang Ho for a revelation. Watch the new video above.

“How You Hurt Me” portrays Howell’s battle with PTSD, stemming from the loss of a dear one. “After my grandma passed away, I felt compelled to create a song that expressed the pain I was going through, while also capturing the beauty she brought into our lives,” he explained.

He further shared, “For the music video, I wanted to depict myself in solitude, lost in my thoughts and music. Sometimes, we need to be alone and have those difficult conversations with ourselves, removing all distractions, even the person we long to be with the most.”

Howell’s latest release is a follow-up to the rising star’s breakthrough EP, Red Room, which spawned hit singles “Deserve,” “Faithful” and the #15 Billboard Adult R&B, “Talk.” “Why You Hurting Me” is available now via JTProductions and prepares fans for Howell’s forthcoming project, expected late-2021.
