Finally, Young Miami has her partner in crime back by her side.
The second half to the Florida female rap duo, JT, has been officially released from prison. But not so fast, she still has to serve the remainder of her time in a halfway house. She was originally sentenced to two years in the slammer, but a judge has apparently allowed for her to get an early release
TMZ has the story. They report that JT was transported from FCI Tallahassee to a halfway house in the Atlanta area. There she’ll finish out the second half of her sentencing. She’s reportedly expected to be received full freedom on March 7.
Until then she’s going to make the best of her new situation. And she already is. Fresh out of jail, JT released a new track, rightfully titled “JT First Day Out.”
JT was serving time for credit card fraud. The emerging rapper turned herself in 2018, just as she and Young Miami were embarking on newfound fame.
While away, Young Miami carried the group on her back, appearing on multiple projects as a solo artist with Saweetie, Drake, and more.
Any thoughts? How do you feel about JT being released from prison? Have you listened to JT’s new song yet? Is it a hit or miss? Let us know what’s on your mind by leaving a comment in the comment section below.
