Kodak Black Denied Bail…Will Sit in Jail Until Next Trial

Kodak Black won’t be seeing the outside of prison anytime soon.

News reports confirm that Black will continue to be held behind bars and without the possibility of bail. According to the judge, Black is nothing except a “danger to the community.”

The Florida rapper was first arrested while he was in Miami for the Rolling Loud Music Festival. Allegedly, Black was targeted by authorities for lying on more than one application to buy guns in the Miami district. The 21-year-old purchased a 9 mm handgun, a .380-caliber handgun, and a semiautomatic Mini Draco weapon, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Bruce Brown. And to make Black‘s situation worse, authorities have linked at least one of the weapons to a previous shooting incident in Pompano Beach, just 35 miles outside of Miami.

Now that prosecutors have successfully blocked an appeal to get Blackout of bail for $550,000, he will remain in jail until his next trial begins.

He is pleading not guilty. Though if found guilty, he could face up to eight years.
