Lebron James Debuts With The Los Angeles Lakers

The Lebron James and Los Angeles era has officially begun. Following the moments after a Game 1 loss in the NBA finals in May, Lebron James was at the forefront conversation. A combination of rage, frustration, and disappointment led James to explode in Oakland’s visitors locker room where he punched a whiteboard and broke a bone in his hand.

Simply put, it was an “extreme example of his intense competitive spirit.” Even though his then Cleveland Cavaliers were heavy underdogs to the Golden State Warriors, James believed that he could lead to an upset. And now, he is looking to bury that memory and redeem his King status on Los Angeles.

When asked about Lakers’ expectations, Lebron stated:

“I’m not a very patient guy, but I understand that I have to be,” James said this week. “I’ve got to be patient with myself, too, because this is a new start for me. Of course, I want to win next year, but I’m realistic. It will be a long process, much longer than it was in 2010. My patience will get tested. I know that. I’m going into a situation with a young team and a new coach.”

In the first official game if the pre-season, Lebron James had nine points, four assist, and three rebounds in 15 minutes. Check out the highlights below and stay tuned for the latest updates on King James and the Lakers era.
