Man Drop Kicks Arnold Schwarzenegger at Event (Video)

It was supposed to be a fun and inspiring event for sports enthusiasts and fans of Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Arnold Classic Africa is a multi-sport festival in Johannesburg, South Africa. But on May 18, 2019, it turned into a shocking scene. A man attacked Schwarzenegger from behind with a flying kick.

The incident occurred when Schwarzenegger, then 71, recorded a Snapchat video of himself admiring young contestants using jump ropes. A crowd surrounded him, some taking selfies with him. Suddenly, a man lurking nearby ran towards him, jumped in the air, and kicked him in the back with both feet. The impact caused Schwarzenegger to stumble, but he quickly regained his balance and walked away. The attacker, however, was immediately tackled by a security guard and dragged away. In a video of the attack that quickly went so viral on social media, a man can be heard shouting in the background of the commotion, “Help me! I need a Lamborghini!

According to a tweet from the event organizers, they suspected that the man who orchestrated the incident was a “crazed fan,” and that he had carefully planned it. The organizers also noted that the man had a history of orchestrating similar incidents in the past and was known to the police. Security officials handed the man over to the police, but Arnold Schwarzenegger refused to press charges. He reportedly views the incident as a prank by a mischievous fan.

Schwarzenegger was not harmed during the incident and was in “good spirits” afterwards. He also tweeted that he initially thought he had been pushed by the crowd and only realized that he had been kicked after watching the video himself.

“I’m relieved the person didn’t disturb my Snapchat,”

he added. He also thanked his fans for their concern and assured them there was nothing to worry about. He even posted a video of himself greeting his fans and posing for photos after the attack.

But perhaps the most surprising and admirable thing that Schwarzenegger did was to forgive his assailant and urge his fans to focus on the positive aspects of the event. He tweeted:

“Update: “I’ve received many inquiries regarding pressing charges, however, I have decided against it. My hope is that this experience serves as a wake-up call for the person involved, and that they are able to make positive changes in their life. At this point, I am ready to move on from this situation and focus my attention on the thousands of amazing athletes I had the pleasure of meeting at @ArnoldSports Africa.”

This crazy incident also raised concerns about the security of public figures, particularly in crowded and chaotic environments. Also, it highlighted the unpredictability and irrationality of some fans. They may resort to violence or harassment to get attention or express their emotions. However, it also showed the resilience and generosity of Schwarzenegger. He did not let the attack ruin his mood or his mission. He continued to support and celebrate the athletes and event organizers. He spread his message of fitness and health. He also displayed a forgiving attitude towards his attacker. He hoped the attacker would learn from his mistake and change his ways.

The Arnold Classic Africa event was one of the many sports festivals that Schwarzenegger hosted worldwide. It’s part of his Arnold Sports Festival brand. The event features various sports and fitness activities. These include bodybuilding, martial arts, powerlifting, and dance. It also aims to promote youth development and empowerment through sports. Schwarzenegger has been a passionate advocate of physical and mental wellness. He’s used his fame and influence to inspire and motivate millions worldwide. Despite the unfortunate incident at the event, he did not let it overshadow his vision and values. He proved once again that he is a star, leader, and role model.
