Metro Boomin. Southside. Jermaine Dupri. London On Da Track. In the last decade, Atlanta has produced more hip-hop superproducers than any other region and continues to roll out more superproducers like an assembly line. Today, we meet the next superproducer coming out of the region in Decatur, Georiga’s Mondo. Born Armond Kendrick, the superproducer-songwriter began creating music at 12-years-old. Placing his first breakthrough placement with the late-Bankroll Fresh, Mondo’s resume includes a laundry list of a-list hip hop artists like 2 Chainz, Future, Moneybagg Yo and NBA YoungBoy.

While he began producing music due to his cousin’s rap group dreams, it started as a hobby with his original passion being Basketball. Mondo briefly attended Fort Valley State University as a business major before entering the music industry. However, he made the decision to leave the HBCU and follow his dreams. Although not committed to hoop dreams anymore, Mondo remains involved in the game with contributions and coaching.

Outside great production, Mondo craves his own lane to the top as a recording artist with an ongoing collaboration with popular artist Money Mu. The two have created breakout hits “Heavy” and “Brinks.” Mondo released his first collaboration album, titled Certified Love, with Trap Prince Getti in 2020. Mondo is currently working on new music and, of course, a debut album this year while continuing to produce for the biggest names in hip hop.

In 2022, Mondo already produced new music on Kodak Black’s Back For Everything and OG Bobby Billions’ Holy Goat 2. Stay updated with Mondo’s daily content and much more by following him on social media. Get to know Mondo today and watch his video “Heavy” above.
