The actor is partnering with Color of change on a new initiative to provide “Hollywood with a clear roadmap to break the pattern of racism and invest in Black stories.”
Hollywood has a history of racism … Excluding Black talent, silencing Black voices, derailing Black careers, and propping up policing and injustices…

Social Initiatives are the new rave as America appears on the surface, ready to discuss the ongoing plague of racism. Ever since George Floyd’s death and the resulting protest and riots across the country, the discussion about how to improve race relations have been on full throttle.
Sports and entertainment have seen significant shifts; months ago, you shouldn’t take a knee; now you had better. Furthermore, companies and government officials alike have been clamoring to show their allegiance to BLM.
This collaborative initiative could literally change the representation of Black People.
With a clear roadmap and objectives, #changehollywood is off to a better start them other initiatives. Conversely, Defund the police is full of detail about what exactly it means. However, the media doesn’t have the time nor the responsibility to report all the news, just the stuff that gets attention.
Hollywood has the opportunity to be the leader, literally in the redefinition of Black people in America. Even more, Most of the issues that racism causes are from stereotypes, propaganda, and misrepresentation.
Moves, shows, entertainment is the only way that some people learn about other races and cultures.
