Moving New Video From Teyana Taylor

Teyana Taylor just released a powerful new music video for her song, “Still”.

The self directed video is an ode to the movement against systemic racism and police brutality. The music video includes footage from recent Black Lives Matter protests, acts of police violence and speeches from Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr.

The video begins with the words of MLK Jr., and continues to flip through the names of just a few of the known individuals that have lost their lives to the hands of police brutality.

Throughout the clip, Taylor is dressed as Black Panther Party co-founder Huey P. Newton and Malcolm X, as well as multiple victims of police violence, such as Breonna Taylor and George Floyd.

Since it’s posting on September 2nd, Taylor’s video has received huge amounts of feedback. Multiple music publications have written about the new video, and countless fans have spoken out to give praise and appreciation for the moving piece.
