The title is a nod to Metro’s now-legendary line, “If Young Metro don’t trust you, I’m gon’ shoot you.” It guarantees the signature sound. And the unbeatable chemistry we loved in the first project. Talk about dedication—Metro reportedly wouldn’t shave his beard until the album finished!
The album’s creative process continued into 2024. Metro promised to shave his beard when he finished the album! The anticipation grew when the album’s trailer dropped on March 8, 2024. It revealed the release date for “WE DON’T TRUST YOU” and said that “WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU” would follow just three weeks later. It would hit the airwaves on April 12, 2024.

In the trailer, both rappers wear all-white clothes. Future wears a cloth zip-up balaclava and black sunglasses, while Metro wears a crisp white Yankees fitted. The duo is dedicated to their craft, which is clear in their striking appearance and intense performance.
“WE DON’T TRUST YOU” has already carried out huge fulfillment, debuting at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot A Hundred. The fan-favored song “Like That” with Kendrick Lamar also completed the same feat.
The track “Like That” also has made a fantastic splash in the music world. It has accumulated 59.6 million streams, leaving an impression on 5.6 million radio listeners and promoting 9,000 copies within the week concluding on March 28, as suggested by Luminate. This document-breaking number of streams is the best for a piece of single music per week, considering Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” finished 59.7 million in its 2nd week, dated Feb. 4, 2023. The track enterprise hasn’t seen such numbers in quite a while!
So, mark your calendars, song enthusiasts! Get prepared for extra-fire tracks from Future and Metro Boomin. They continue to dominate the rap scene with their electrifying collaborations.
