Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce offers advice to the 76ers guard Ben Simmons: ‘Just play better, man.’
Kelce speaks to the relationship between athletes and Philadelphia fans on Thursday evening. He shifted the conversation towards Simmons, pretty much addressing his lack of accountability. His behavior is the cause of the chaos erupting for the 76ers.
“I tell guys, you write your own narrative. Kelce expressed concern for the current state of the 76ers and their player, Ben Simmons. He attributed this predicament to a lack of accountability. Failure to acknowledge errors. And neglecting to rectify issues. “If all that got corrected if you’re fixing free throws and if you’re getting better as a player. None of that is true. In reality, anyone can grumble and moan about the challenges of playing in this city. Just perform better, my friend. This city will adore you.
Ben Simmons Falling out with the 76ers
After the latest incident in the 76ers facility, Tuesday. As a result, in the season opener, Simmons couldn’t participate. The 76ers were able to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans convincingly without the help of Simmons, 117-97. However, Simmons was fined more than $1.4 million for his absence from training camp and all four preseason games, per Wojnarowski.
Daryl Morey says the Sixers are only willing to trade Ben Simmons if they can get a difference maker in return.

Philadelphia Eagles Center Kelce’s Heart to Heart with Simmons and the 76ers
Kelce made it clear he has nothing personal against Simmons; however, he called the situation a “travesty”.
“These guys were all brought in here, a lot of talent, and it hasn’t worked out for them for whatever reason,” Kelce said. “But it’s a pretty good example of how not to handle the Philly media, at the very least.”
The 33-year-old center is easily one of the most entertaining and beloved sports figures in the city of brotherly love. Kelce’s legacy was cemented ever since he helped deliver the Eagle’s first-ever Super Bowl. The fan base has praised and loved him ever since. His most legendary moments was his post-Super Bowl speech dressed in a Mummers costume at the top of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
“There’s a lot of people that say it’s a hard place to play. I think it’s pretty f—ing easy, to be honest with you,” Kelce said. “… Everybody’s going to get crushed at some point. Everybody is going to go through a downturn and be struggling, and at all times this city is going to keep you accountable for doing your job and performing. But if you stick to it and you fight through it and you get better. They’ll respect the hell out of you. Even if you’re struggling and you’re fighting and you’re trying, they’re still going to respect you. That’s what I think most guys miss. I really don’t think this is a hard place to play at all. I think it would be miserable to play in a place like Jacksonville, where nobody cares.
