Pokémon Go: New Weekend Event
Pokémon Go will be doing a special weekend event with advertising collaboration partners: Verizon, 7-Eleven, and Yoshinoya. As per usual, those with an event ticket will be treated to additional research tasks and big rewards.
However, even without a ticket, you can still take part in the special weekend event and complete the complimentary general research task available to everyone. The event sounds exciting and the increased distance trade wil be a feature loved by all Pokémon players.

What Is the Special Weekend Event?
Special Weekend is an in-game event that uses a ticket code for the participating Pokémon Go partners. This can be done physically or digitally according to your preference. The code can be redeem on the Offer Redemption website.
When Is the Special Weekend Event?
The special weekend event will take place from Friday, May 28, until Sunday, May 30th 11:59 PM. The Ticket tasks will take place from May 29th, 12:00 a.m., to May 30th, 11:59 p.m. local time.
General / Available to all Trainers regardless of ticket.
The special weekend event general tasks will take place from Friday, May 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, May 31, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. PDT (GMT −7).
- Double amount of gifts can be opened.
- Trade range will be expanded to 40 kilometers!

These special features will be available on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
- Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Eevee, Marill, Sableye, Stunky, Spritzee, and Swirlix will be attracted to Incense.
- A chance to find a Shiny Eevee.
- Different Unown will be attracted to Incense depending on the participating partner in your region. (No Shiny Unown Available)

The following features will be available from Saturday, May 29 to Sunday, May 30, 2021, for the entire day.
- Event-exclusive Timed Research will reward encounters with Eevee, Spritzee, Swirlix, and Deino!
- Event-exclusive Timed Research will be available and reward XP, Stardust, an Incense, a Star Piece, a Lucky Egg, Spritzee Candy, and Swirlix Candy.
- Increased chance of receiving Lucky Pokémon when you trade with a friend.
- Increased chance of becoming Lucky Friends when interacting with a friend during the weekend.
- Earn double the XP for catching Pokémon.
