It goes without saying that some rappers just have horrible luck with the police. Unfortunately, for many male rappers, music and crime seem to go hand in hand.
Rapper Bankroll Freddie ran into some trouble with cops this past Friday that landed him in jail. Initially, the rapper faced a traffic violation but the situation quickly escalated to drug and weapon charges. It’s just plain sad when police arrest a rapper, especially in his own hometown. Clearly, the police have no love for the rap star.
Bankroll Freddie Arrested In Hometown
The “BSF” rapper may hail from Arkansas. However, he’s got haters in and around town. Furthermore, the Arkansas rapper faced some serious drug and weapons charges after being arrested by the Arkansas State Police on Friday. Initially, police pulled over the 27-year-old emcee for speeding on Interstate 55 in Marion, Arkansas. However, after searching Freddie’s car, police found 21 lbs of drugs and 171 grams of the prescription sedative, Promethazine. Looks like Bankroll Freddie might’ve found himself in a bit of pickle with his hometown police.
The Rapper Might Face Jail Time
The charges against the rapper didn’t stop there. Apparently, the Arkansas native faces another round of mayhem after his drug and weapon charges were “held by the FBI on equivalent federal charges.” Imagine how Bankroll Freddie’s wife feels.
Anytime charges make it to the FBI level, that just spells trouble. At this time, no attorney has been appointed to the rapper. The rapper has definitely landed himself in a world of trouble.
Hopefully, someone from his hometown will defend him.
