The HipHop industry has plenty of talent to go around. Unfortunately, rap stars get a bad rep for being jailbirds. Even some of today’s biggest rap stars like Lil Wayne and Da Baby have done jail time. Now young emcee Ricky Hawk, aka Silento faces jailtime for allegedly murdering his cousin. These emcees just can’t seem to keep themselves out of trouble.
Silento Serving Jailtime Again
Rapper Silento may have introduced us how to the trendy “Watch Me ( Whip/Nae Nae)” dance, but he’s also a troublemaker. In 2020, Silento spent most of his time in and out of jail. Back in September, he got arrested for allegedly carrying a hatchet and committing domestic violence against his girlfriend.
Unfortunately, Silento went into the new year the same way he started the previous one; facing jailtime. Though, sources predict the emcee won’t be able to bounce back after his latest stunt. Recently, police arrested the 23-year-old for the alleged murder of his own cousin, Fredrick Rooks. The Georgia DeKalb County Police tweeted an official announcement about the investigation into Fredrick Rooks’ death. They found him shot on Deep Shoals Circle on January 21. Hawk is now in the DeKalb County Jail, facing Murder charges. People wonder why police share details about ongoing cases like this. It’s concerning that some state judges didn’t take action against those officers.
The Evidence Points To The Rapper
Details about Silento’s case have popped up all over the web. However, the police haven’t identified any motive behind the rapper’s reason for murdering his cousin. The official police report, however, does show a substantial amount of evidence that could convict the young emcee. According to the report, the police collected eight bullet casings at the scene of the crime. Additionally, multiple neighbor’s surveillance videos show gunshots being fired and several cars fleeing the scene. With severe evidence stacked up against him, this might be Silento’s last brief brush with law enforcement. If he’s not careful, he’ll be facing several years in jail this time.
