Rick Ross Faces Hurdles
Renowned rapper Rick Ross is refusing to back down. The influential artist recently took to Instagram to announce that his highly anticipated Rick Ross car show will proceed as planned at his remarkable Promise Land estate, despite facing opposition from county officials who denied his permit. According to the director of planning and zoning, the event does not comply with the county’s regulations. However, Rick Ross remains undeterred, determined to showcase his car show extravaganza to fans and enthusiasts alike.
The rapper isn’t just having issues with his permit, though; he has also been accused of selling drugs and being a member of the Gangster Disciples, an infamous Chicago gang that he has been targeted by for using their signs, symbols, and logos without paying them the required fees. Gang members have even released video death threats against him.
This isn’t the first time Rozay has run into trouble in his hometown of Fayetteville, Georgia. Last year, neighbors complained that his estate’s car and bike show brought traffic to a standstill. In addition, Rozay is facing a lawsuit by the Chicago-based Gangster Disciples for using their signs and logos without permission.
In addition to the drama that the rapper is dealing with in his hometown, he has also been a target of drug charges. He has had a number of his vehicles confiscated for marijuana possession. His arrest for marijuana possession halted the star’s ill-fated attempt at a comeback concert in 2014, and he has also been arrested for failing to appear in court due to a 2013 marijuana charge.
As a result of his legal issues, the Mogul was unable to attend the recent SuperJam performance in Shreveport, Louisiana, and was forced to cancel.
Despite these obstacles, the entrepreneur isn’t giving up on his dreams of becoming mayor. The rumor mill is abuzz that he will formally announce his political aspirations shortly.
In the meantime, the rapper will continue working on his upcoming projects. He has been tapped to executive produce a new reality series that will follow him, Maybach Music Group CEO The-Dream, and Radio Killa Records A&R senior VP Lenny S.
