Snowfall, from the mind of the late John Singleton, Eric Amadio, and Dave Andron is a hit for FX. Premiering in 2017, the series received warm reviews and solid ratings when it first hit the small screen. According to Deadline, the show is seeing continued ratings growth over the past four years.
Ratings Signify Success in Television Market
Snowfall, starring English actor Damson Idris, as drug dealer Franklin Saint, is rewarded with a season five renewal at FX due to high ratings.
Moreover, Season 4 is “up 41% over the same period in Season 3 and averaging 5.1 million total viewers across all platforms.”
Eric Schrier, president of FX Entertainment, released a statement regarding the season renewal.
“Snowfall has become one of the top TV dramas. Its quality and growing audience in the fourth season are remarkable achievements.”
He added:
“The incredible team behind Snowfall, including co-creator John Singleton, showrunner Dave Andron, and executive producers Walter Mosley, Leonard Chang, and Tommy Schlamme, has truly contributed to the series’ excellence. Damson Idris and the entire cast consistently deliver outstanding performances in every episode.”
