Daystar Peterson is not shining bright right now. Tory Lanez is convicted of shooting Megan Pete.
Certainly not a good day for Daystar Peterson, known as Tory Lanez, as the long awaited trial of him vs. Megan Thee Stallion whose real name is Megan Pete has come to a close. Lanez was accused of shooting Meg following an alcohol fueled argument in 2020. The two were reportedly romantically involved and, like most Hollywood entanglements, their intoxicated feelings boiled over. Three felony counts stuck to the Alone at Prom artist, who is now facing 20 plus years in prison and deportation. He was convicted of negligently firing a gun, assaulting with a handgun, and possessing a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle. After two years of waiting, speculation, and ridicule, Megan saw justice served as Tory Lanez awaits sentencing.
Tory Lanez Trial Verdict
The trial, which took a little over two weeks ended with Tory stunned and his father outraged. When hearing the verdict, Tory Lanez’ father stood up and started to shout “God will judge you” at the judge, who sat by as the bailiffs blocked the angry father’s path to the bench. Megan was not present in court at the time of the verdict accompanied by the hysterical reactions of Tory’s family.

Tory Lanez’ Trial Recap
During the trial, Tory Lanez’ defense shed light on the fact that Megan was involved in another dispute with her friend, Kelsey Harris, around the time of the shooting. After hanging out at Kylie Jenner’s house, Megan Pete, Kelsey Harris and Tory Lanez were involved in disputes regarding the strange entanglement triangle between the three. It was also revealed that Kelsey wasn’t entirely truthful with her original story to the authorities, and that she actually didn’t see who shot Megan.
There were a couple witness accounts who saw Tory with a gun, the DNA evidence that would tie Tory to the weapon was inconclusive. Megan also originally claimed that she was not shot and that she stepped on some glass; she later claimed that she did not want to snitch, and that she did not want anyone to die at the hands of a police officer.
During the trial; however, she vehemently stated that Tory Lanez shouted at her to dance, before firing multiple rounds at her feet. She went on to claim that Tory apologized soon after and offered a million dollars each to Kelsey and Megan in exchange for their silence.

Things are not looking great for Canadian born rapper Tory Lanez, as he awaits sentencing set to take place in late January. Of course as usual, social media immediately started producing jokes and memes about the trial.

Tory Lanez’ Lawyers Shocked
Peterson and his defense team were noticeably shocked when the verdict was announced.
“We’re very disappointed, shocked and didn’t expect it,” George Mgdesyan told ABC News. “We didn’t think the people could prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.”

As the verdict stands, legally this is a nightmare for everyone involved. Especially the victim Megan 3. Shows how cooler heads could have prevented this horrific time.
So Tory didn’t testify because he was so confident this trial was in his favor since the start. This whole case was messy and confusing, the least he could’ve did was testify to get his story straight. Prosecutors have done their best with the little info they had to accuse him. I truly feel like he may have had a better chance to freedom if he had testified. His behavior itself is questionable, so although verdict is here, only God knows the truth fr. Anyways, happy for Meg that she’s starting to get the justice she deserves.

The people that was there but didn’t see the shooting, Meg saying she stepped on glass, etc is crazy. But this why people need to make better decisions. Why do Tory need a gun for? He making money. Get body guards if you think you need protection.
People tend to misremember traumatic events but Meg knows what happened to her that night. I didn’t expect this to be the outcome though, sadly.
