After a six-month hiatus, Travis Scott returned to the stage Saturday night (March 4) at Rolling Loud California. He headlined for the first time since a crowd crush at Astroworld in November 2021 that killed 10 people and injured hundreds more.
It was an exciting moment for fans and musicians, who were eager to see him on the stage again. The rap scene changed a lot during Scott’s absence, and his Rolling Loud performance was an important reminder of hip-hop’s progress.
Even with the controversy surrounding him, Scott made a strong case for his place in the rap scene when he hit the stage. He took his MC skills to the next level, showcasing a raw emotion in his performance that is hard to find today.
The show started with a bang, as Scott opened with his song “Highest in the Room,” which had a dark and menacing feel. The rapper’s dark ball cap and futuristic-looking mask hid his eyes, and the low stage lighting and a smoke machine gave the music an apocalyptic feel.
Technical Issues
Despite a few technical issues, his performance was successful overall. It was clear that he had a lot of fans back at his side and that they were ready to hear his latest songs.
It also seemed a special night for him as Future joined him on stage. Their band accompanied them, and the crowd was in awe of how good the music was.
The night they featured several other notable performances, including Lil Baby, Kodak Black, and Tippie Redd. Each artist’s memorable performance brought the entire audience to their feet.
The event had a few major moments that made headlines, but one major mistake left the crowd in awe. During his headlining set, the singer’s sound was cut off right in the middle of SICKO MODE, which was a big hit for him with Drake. However, he finished the song and performed some of his hits, like “Goosebumps,”
While the set was short, it was still a great show from Scott. He didn’t want to leave the stage but was soon kicked off.
“I wish I could do more but they’re making me go” said Travis Scott at the end of his Rolling Loud headline set 🫤 PIC.TWITTER.COM/DQA33LWOSJ
