The Designer Died At 41

A post on his social media account confirms this heartbreaking news. The statement expressed profound sadness at the loss of Virgil Abloh, who was deeply loved as a cherished family member and friend.
The designer had been “battling a rare, aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma” for over two years. Abloh kept a lot to himself and did his best to keep the public away from knowing his health problems; however, he managed to keep his life and work a constant priority.
“He chose to keep his battle private since being diagnosed in 2019,” the post stated. It also mentioned, “Despite undergoing numerous challenging treatments, he continued to lead several important institutions in fashion, art, and culture.”
