‘Weekends With Adele’ Temporarily Postponed
Emotions run high as Adele has to share some devastating news to her fans in her latest Instagram post on Thursday. Just a day before the first show. As the tearful artist announced her Las Vegas shows, ‘Weekends With Adele’ would be canceled and postponed. Due to many setbacks that include “delivery delays” and most of her team having COVID.
“I am so sorry, but my show ain’t ready,” the 33-year-old star said in her video. “We’ve done everything we could to get it ready on time and up to your expectations, but unfortunately, we’ve faced significant setbacks due to delivery delays and Covid.”
“Half my crew and half of my team is down with covid, they still are,” the Grammy-award winner adds. “We’ve been unable to complete the show, and I’m disappointed that I can’t present what I currently have.”
One Of A Kind
In November, the English songwriter released her latest album, 30, and many could agree this was one of her best yet. From heartache to self-empowerment, the “Hello” star has proven her name in the music industry. Adele has appeared on Saturday Night Live, award shows, and even performed for a one-night special with Oprah on CBS. A night that fans fell in love with the singer.
Adele’s Vegas shows began Friday and went through Apr. 16 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. As people were looking forward to seeing the “Rolling in the Deep” star, fans understood the circumstances of her decision.
Many wrote in the comment section with, “don’t cry beautiful, it’s okay,” “take it easy on you!” and so many other heartwarming ones. Although Adele had to cancel her shows, her fans stood right by her side at this crucial moment.
According to Forbes, back in December, the tickets were priced at under $1,000, and the vast majority of them priced between $1,250 or more. With that adding flight booking, hotel reservations, and her showing tickets, fans spent a lot of money for the star.
New Dates Are Soon To Come
As Adele and her team have “run out of time,” choosing to cancel the show was the best and only decision worth doing so.
“I’m going to finish my show, and I’m going to get it to where it’s supposed to be,” she finished saying. “I’m so sorry. It’s been impossible. We’ve been up against so much, and it’s just not ready. I’m really sorry.”
Adele is yet to announce the new dates, so fans are waiting to see what she says until then. Whether this was a minor setback for a major comeback, Adele is more than capable of performing at her shows, and when the time comes, fans will be in for a treat.
