After making a lot of noise in 2020 with the buzzing album Beyond The Naked Eye which spawned singles “Best Ever,” “Cover Up” and “Tell Me,” Maryland recording artist Zayzayy enters 2021 with promise and it starts with the releases of the video to his new single “G Shock.”
In the new video directed by Justin Jacobs, Zayzayy goes all black, grabs his money-hungry crew and pulls a heist. We can hear the hunger in Zay’s voice with get rich or die tryin’ lyrics like “Mask down, searching for a lick till the sun up/Mask down, gotta move these pounds until I come up/I was 15, robbin the runners.”
Zayzayy’s new song is inspired by the emerging star’s past dreams of purchasing the trending watch brand. “I made the songs thinking about ways to come up,” Zayzayy said in the press release. “Growing up g shock was the watches everyone wanted and I remember days I could afford it. So we took risks to get it. G-Shock symbolizes me one a better life. Me wanting the best things in life.”
