50 Cent Congratulates Donald Trump’s Presidential Victory in 2024 Election

50 Cent has publicly congratulated Donald Trump on his recent victory in the 2024 presidential election. He made the post on Instagram where he shared a photo of himself and Trump shaking hands. The caption was from him, “I don’t care how the fight goes, I’m leaving with the winner sh*t. I still don’t know what’s going on ????‍ congratulations!. This has elicited a bevy of responses from fans, some rather disappointed, while others were quite supportive.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has had a pretty complicated relationship with politics over the years. Once seemingly supportive of Trump, he has largely remained out of deep dives into that world. He said once in an interview that he was offered an astonishing amount of $3 million to perform at one Trump rally, but he declined and said, “I’m afraid of politics.”

This indeed revealed his fear and reluctance to get deeply involved in political happenings-although he has been officially associated with the ex-president.

Interestingly, 50 Cent has not endorsed anybody else since having announced his support for Trump. He was upset with Joe Biden’s tax policies, which was one of the reasons he had supported Trump in the first place. He also hasn’t given an official endorsement for this election cycle or anyone else, meaning he has cooled off on being in the front of such a radical association with politics.

The controversial relationship that the rapper has furthered with Trump took yet another turn in July 2024, after an assassination attempt was made on the former president. In performance, 50 Cent shared a meme that humorously edited Trump’s head onto his body from the cover of his iconic album, ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.

In performance of the song “Many Men,” he did hint that survival on Trump’s part could actually boost his chances in the election, saying via Instagram, “I know the vibes. We are really in trouble now.”

The rapper earlier this year made headlines when he shared a photo over the summer of himself and Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert-an elected politician notorious for her divisive utterances and antics.

The reaction to this comment has been mixed, from distasteful because the subject matter is very serious to darkly humorous. That broke the difficult gap that was expected from celebrities dealing with tragic events and fame.

50 Cent’s political support has been all over the map. He has also thrown his weight behind figures like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, but these days, he seems a bit more subdued. Faced by a backlash against his support for Trump, he dialed it back by saying, “I never liked him.” The give-and-take on that suggests some of the difficulties he has faced trying to balance his personal convictions against public opinion.

Following an on-and-off support for the candidature of the president, a congratulatory message from 50 Cent to Trump recently denotes a reversal to supportive mode. His remarks sound like a mixture of admiration and caution as he navigates around celebrity politics.

Trump’s victory is a milestone in American politics in which 50 Cent’s reaction represents one piece of the jigsaw puzzle. The former president has run a campaign based on conservative positions with the Republican camp, thus able to activate a staunch, devoted base in a thoroughly divided electorate. In his victory speech, Trump emphasized unity and the future-a strategic shift aimed at consolidating his support.

Reaction to Trump’s victory has ranged from jubilation amongst his supporters to dismay amongst many in Hollywood and other liberal quarters. Many celebrities and public figures alike sounded off on their concerns about what a Trump presidency would mean, illustrating the continued splits within the electorate.

The question becomes then, as 50 Cent continues to try and work out this relationship with Trump and the world of politics, what exactly does he do next? Does he continue to support Trump, or will his focus go somewhere else? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: 50 Cent’s journey through the world of politics is far from over.
