DING! School’s in session, and Abbott Elementary is setting the record at ABC as the network’s first comedy show to debut with quadruple ratings. Created, written, and starring Quinta Brunson, the mockumentary sets the tone for public schooling in Philadelphia. For many, these teachers make a difference in these children’s lives.
Abbott Elementary debuted in December, and since the number of viewers is incredible. According to Deadline, the rating went from 0.6 to 2.4 ratings and 2.79 million viewers to 7.1 billion total viewers within 35 days. The series shot up 300%, and fans have fallen in love with the show over time.
