When you go to a live show, it’s all about having fun. But keeping everybody happy in a crowd of thousands isn’t easy. That’s why if you’re Adele, you know to come to your fans’ defense when needed.
Adele Defends Concert Fan
During her on Saturday night, the singer paused her song to come to the aid of an audience member who was being told by security guards to sit down. In a video posted to X (previously called Twitter), the Rolling in the Deep star was singing Water Under the Bridge when she noticed a young fan being harassed by security guards.
After a brief pause, Adele resumed her performance and addressed the crowd, telling the audience to make sure attendees were free to have fun. She then instructed her band to start singing again, and the fan jumped back up as he screamed in excitement.
The fan, who was identified by TikToker user juanp_lastra, later posted a clip of the moment to his account. TMZ reports that the clip sparked millions of passionate social media reactions.

During the clip, the fan is seen singing and using a selfie stick while other guests behind him are urging him to sit down. One of the security guards even tells him to lower his voice, but Adele is having none of it.
In his tweet about the incident, juanp_lastra thanked Adele for her support & for making him feel like an important part of the audience. He didn’t expect that, and it meant the world to him.
Adele’s Vegas residency continues through November. She’s also known for stopping her shows mid-performance to help fans who are sick, hurt, or need assistance.
