American Music Awards 2021 Is Here, See Who’s Leading The Charts

It’s Almost That Time, For The AMAs!

The annual 2021 American Music Awards Show is set to premiere next month on Nov. 21. This year’s nominations are not going to disappoint. Good Morning America announced the nominations on Thursday, Oct. 28, and the nation’s most popular music acts are set to give fans an incredible show.

Not ‘Sour’ About These Nominations

First time ever being nominated at The American Music Awards, many know her from the Sour album; Olivia Rodrigo is on the top with her nominations. The singer received seven award nominations, including “Artist of the Year” and “Favorite Pop Album.” It may even put Rodrigo in the running to receive the most wins for a first-time nominee.

Followed right behind her with six nominations is The Weekend, followed by five nominations for Doja Cat, Bad Bunny, and Giveon. The list of nominations continues, and many are curious to find out who will win. This year, the AMAs added three new categories: top trending song, best gospel artist, and favorite Latin duo/group. The nominations were counted by the number of streams, radio airplay, album, and song sales from September of last year to September of this year. However, the winners are entirely chosen by fan votes.
