Model and body-positive advocate, Ashley Graham, is changing the game for women in 2020.
Graham recently announced her mission to make the fashion industry more inclusive for plus-sized women with the launch of her new bridal line.
The Spanish bridal-wear firm Pronovias teamed up with Graham to create a collection of 16 pieces that will range from size zero to 34 with price points between $1,000-$3,500.
“The importance of inclusion in the fashion industry is key, there really hasn’t been a ton of inclusivity when it comes to size in bridal,” Graham told Harpers Bazaar.
The model expressed that her inspiration for the collection came from her own negative experience when wedding dress shopping ten years ago.
She continued, “When I was looking for my wedding dress it took a really long time to find the right one, and even when I did find the right dress, it wasn’t the right size and it wasn’t going to be available for my wedding day.”
This bridal collection comes along side Graham’s other new, inclusive swimwear collection.
The notably inclusive swimwear brand, Swimsuits For All, collaborated with the model to create an 11-piece set with sizes ranging from four to 24, all under 150 dollars.
The swimwear line comes as Graham nears the end of her pregnancy, expecting her first child, a baby boy with husband Justin Ervin.
“Pregnancy has given me a whole new appreciation for my body, and designing this collection allowed me to truly embrace my new curves and my beautiful baby bump in a swimsuit, I hope this campaign reminds all women that they are sexy and should be celebrated at all stages in their lives.” Graham told E! News.
The two collections aren’t the only inclusive brands on the market, Rihanna recently launched her brand Savage x Fenty line that also appeals to all shapes and sizes.
