Rihanna Becomes A National Hero In Her Hometown
Rihanna will forever remain huge music and fashion icon for years to come. Though, the singer isn’t just a mega hip-hop star and beauty mogul. Recently, she took on the title and role of Barbados’s 11th National hero.
On Monday, November 29th, the “Umbrella” singer received the honorable title from the Bajan Prime Minister Mia Mottley.
“On behalf of our grateful nation and its proud people, we are pleased to announce that Ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty has been appointed as a National Hero of Barbados.” May you continue to shine brightly and bring honor to your country through your deeds and actions, representing Barbados with distinction wherever you may be.”
As mentioned, Rihanna also became the Barbados Ambassador responsible for tourism to the country. Of course, the Prime Minster’s words were met with gratitude from the singer.
The Singer Accepts Her New Title In Style
Not only did Rihanna accept her newest role as an Ambassador and National Hero of Barbados, but she did so in style. In video footage taken from the ceremony, Rihanna wore silk, orange Bottega Veneta halter-top gown. Of course, Rihanna wouldn’t show up to a ceremony without going in style. There’s a reason why she’s hailed a beauty mogul and fashion icon in Hollywood.
