But his most romantic gesture was yet to come. Before he died, John arranged for a florist to deliver the same bouquet and card to Diana every Valentine’s Day for the rest of her life. The card reads: “My love for you is eternal.”
Diana was stunned and touched when she received the first delivery in 2018, four months after John’s death. She felt his presence and his love in the flowers, which reminded her of their cherished memories.
Diana’s voice held a softness as she spoke, her words weaving a tapestry of emotions that transcended mere flowers. “Roses, delicate and vibrant, entwined with lilies, pristine in their whiteness. “Each syllable painted a richer picture of the love they shared,” she reminisced. Together, they became the living embodiment of our profound affection.
Her daughter, Marilee Heard, said that seeing the flowers brings a smile to Diana’s face and a joy to her heart. She said that her father was the ultimate romantic guy, who wanted to make sure that his wife felt his love even after he was gone.
“Through whatever magic works in his world, it’s set up so that every year a bouquet of flowers shows up on her doorstep from my dad. When these flowers arrive, you should see the smile that comes on her face. It’s just incredible, the joy that washes over her. She just knows, she knows he’s there with her,” Marilee said.
John and Diana’s love story is a testament to the power and beauty of true love, which knows no bounds and resonates through both life and death. Valentine’s Day approaches. Diana is looking forward to receiving another gift from her forever Valentine. He never fails to make her feel special and loved.
