Big Scarr’s death has hit home for many stars in the rap community, especially his mentor Gucci Mane. However, controversy surrounding Big Scarr’s death arose after the rapper’s family claimed Gucci Mane didn’t help pay for any of the funeral expenses.
In particular, Big Scarr’s sister and brother Quezz Ruthless claimed that Mane didn’t bother with helping with finances. Though, Big Scarr’s father has tried to get back in Gucci Mane’s good graces. Talk about family drama.
Big Emotions Equals A Fallout
Emotions tend to run high at funerals. However, sometimes it can bring out the worst in people. At this point, it’s safe to say that Big Scarr’s family had a major falling out with Gucci Mane. As mentioned before, Big Scarr’s sister and brother accused Gucci Mane of stiffing the funeral bill.
Though Gucci Mane’s wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir, defended her hubby after posting receipts to prove that he did indeed pay for some of the funeral expenses. Even so, Big Scarr’s sister implied that Mane was being cheap.
“That 10k ain’t did sh*t but buy obituaries and flowers, boo. Yeah Gucci sent 10,000 and somebody else sent another 10 so it was 20,000 in all. And we ain’t get the flowers… My brother’s funeral was $60k in all,” the sister shot back. Apparently, she thought the 1017 CEO should’ve paid for all the expenses.
Big Scarr’s Father Is Grateful
On the flip side, Big Scarr’s father was more than grateful for all that Gucci Mane has done for his son. On Monday, the father took to social media to give a shout out to the 1017 CEO and thanked him for giving his son a fighting chance. Additionally, he apologized on behalf of his family’s behavior toward Gucci Mane’s offering. At least, the father is trying to stay on good terms with the 1017 CEO.
