Blac Chyna has been sued for $10 million by her ex-boyfriend, Twin Hector, who accuses the reality TV star of physically assaulting him during the course of their nearly three-year romance. Hector filed the lawsuit in California Superior Court. According to the lawsuit, Chyna had attacked him while he was sleeping in September 2021 and left him with severe injuries.
Hector says it happened in the L.A. apartment the two shared. He was asleep, he says, when Chyna started hitting him with her closed fist, elbow, and knee, using her body weight to pin him down. The beating, according to Hector, left him with serious lacerations on his face and a swollen eye. Hector further declares in the lawsuit that Chyna even summoned her personal physician to their home to examine his wounds, which were still covered in his blood.
Hector’s lawsuit paints a picture of repeated abuse throughout the relationship in that most predominantly, Chyna was under alcohol or some other kind of drug. He claimed that Chyna would often use wires, cell phones, and kitchen utensils as weapons and would regularly threaten his life. This behavior, he claims, was not some kind of isolated incident but rather part of a disturbing pattern of violent outbursts.
Hector is suing Blac Chyna for civil assault, civil battery, and for intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other things. He also hopes the lawsuit will raise awareness about domestic violence against men and encourage other victims to seek protection under California’s Domestic Violence Protection Act. The Act provides legal protection for any gender when one experiences abuse in domestic environments.
The case involving Hector is not the first to see Blac Chyna being accused of violent behavior. Her baby daddy, Rob Kardashian, and other members of the Kardashian family had earlier testified in court about Chyna’s alleged violent conduct, especially when she is drunk. During an appearance at the 2022 court, Rob claimed that Chyna physically assaulted him multiple times, including an incident where she allegedly strangled him with a phone cord and threatened him with a gun.
Predictably, the lawsuit has sparked provocative debate on social media regarding the highly underreported case of domestic violence against men. People have turned out in support of Hector, declaring him a hero for declaring his abuse and publicly speaking his mind. The case has once more stirred the pot of discussions on stigma that men face upon reporting abuse; calls for increased awareness and more resources to help male survivors rang out.
So far, Blac Chyna has not responded to Hector’s allegations as published. Her legal team has released no statement, nor has she spoken of the case herself on social media.
Hector’s lawyer, Kirk Edward Schenck, spoke to the issue of male victimization in domestic violence.
“It is a shocking experience that any man could have, being attacked by a female aggressor and knowing they cannot defend themselves for fear of being mislabeled as the aggressor,”
he said.
“Our client is standing up to seek protection under the law, and he hopes this will empower others to do the same.
The case is now in process, and all eyes are on what comes next as both sides gird their loins in what indeed could be a highly publicized legal battle.
