Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever; Updates.
Wakanda Forever: Plot
Thankfully, new information has surface regarding some plot details. The film will reportedly explore Wakanda as it opens itself to the world after generations of thriving in the shadows. According to We Got This Covered the film will concern Namor the Sub-Mariner’s quest to procure the precious metal vibranium — a resource only available in Wakanda. Thus, putting the two secret nations at war and lead to chaos above and below the water
T’Challa is gone. No CGI
For those who haven’t read my last article, no Chadwick Boseman will not be in the film in any form.
“We’re not going to have a CGI Chadwick and we’re not recasting T’Challa,”
Marvel head Kevin Feige told Deadline earlier this year.
His absence will help direct the story as someone now has to take his place and protect Wakanda. Rather than recasting or doing CGI of Chadwick, they honor his memory but leaving him out of the movie altogether. However, he will be very present in his legacy that will coincide with the plot details.
Letitia Wright Controversy
Who will take his place?
Well, Shuri was the front runner and they even got to work on a Shuri Stand-alone comic by Nnedi Okorafor. Everything pointed to her taking over the Black Panther mantle.
💥Announcement: I'm writing Shuri. 🤓

Naturally, with the comic promoting the movie and the movie in turn bringing readers to the comic, it seemed like a match made. However, things could change as the actress who plays Shuri in the Black Panther films recently shared a controversial one-hour video on the YouTube channel “On the Table.” In the video, the presenter expressed doubts about vaccines, accompanied by the prayer hands emoji. The presenter went on with his personal opinion disparaging vaccines without providing any facts and unbiased information. It was deemed dangerous at this time where vaccines may be the only thing stopping the spread of the Coronavirus.
When confronted over her tweet, Wright said,
“I didn’t mean to hurt anyone. I only shared the video because it made me concerned about the vaccine ingredients and what we’re putting in our bodies. That’s all.”
The actress has since deleted her twitter account but despite her post, many think the actress should not be cancelled for having doubts. Yet, they also agree that sharing misinformation or opinions not backed with facts could be very dangerous. It’s uncertain at this time if her comments and tweets will effect the film or plot details moving forward.
“If you don’t follow popular opinions but question and think for yourself… you get cancelled,” Wright tweeted with a laughing emoji.
