Bass maestro Ray Volpe displays a softer side on his new EP “All Emotion Allowed,” a two-track testament to the complex and often heart-wrenching facets of love. Brimming with emotional lyrics and atmospheric, futuristic melodies, “All Emotion Allowed” is a vastly different venture from Volpe‘s EP “No Emotion Allowed” earlier this year. On the first track “Without You,” featuring dual vocals by Devin & Lydia, Volpe explores a complicated and bittersweet breakup story of boy-loves-girl and girl-cares-but-not-in-that-way. Afterwards, the tables are turned on “Worth a Try” with Aviella, and it’s the girl who returns to fight for love. “All Emotion Allowed” will appeal not to just bass fans, but to anyone who appreciates experimental, groovy vibes and has ever experienced any form of heartbreak. Press play on “All Emotion Allowed” anytime you need a good hit in the feels.
Ray Volpe may only be 21 years old, but he’s already well on his way to becoming a force to be reckoned with in electronic music. The American producer has built his reputation by creating bass-centric dancefloor anthems, cultivating a sound that some consider the revival of dubstep for the modern day. After supporting artists like Borgore and Kill The Noise, Volpe launched his own debut headline tour for “No Emotion Allowed” this spring, blasting off into a new realm of success; he’s also delivered official, heavy-hitting remixes for Marshmello, The Chainsmokers, and GTA. The different sound displayed on “All Emotion Allowed” shows the Volpe is a master of his craft with diverse sound potential, leaving what he’ll come up with next a mystery.
During last years 2017 NBA Finals, it was said that Lebron James and Kevin Durant at one point collaborated on a song.
It was last year that people were able to hear a brief snippet of the track. The producer behind the song “Franky Wahoo” has now released the song on Soundcloud. According to Wahoo, the recording of the song took place during the 2011 NBA lockout season. Franky also made claims that the song was supposed to be on NBA 2K19. Unfortunately, the song did not make the final cut, for the well-known music soundtrack it has created over the years.

Coi Leray began making waves before 2017 wrapped up with her singles “G.A.N” and “Pac Girl.” The two singles garnered initial buzz due to their hard-hitting beats, her uniqueness of being able to both rap and sing and the substance in her songwriting. Coi is a unique breed of artist. Her delivery is aggressive and in your face, but her message is rare and provides a perspective unlike other female emcees in the game. She’s here to break the stereotype and provide a new definition for female emcees all over the world. She definitely has next!“Huddy” is currently available on all digital platforms.
Corey James and David Pietras have teamed up to create the perfect end-of-summer anthem with their new track “To Live” on Protocol Recordings. With its lush melodies and moving vocals, James and Pietrascreate a sumptuous soundscape that’s infectiously emotional and uplifting at once. The addition of soulful vocals from Bryant Powell, a dynamic singer and songwriter who also did “I Second” with Blasterjaxx, serves as the perfect complement to the track’s euphoric nature. “To Live” embodies the nostalgia and youthful hope of the golden season, but its timeless quality ensures that this track will be on heavy rotation well through the colder months. James and Pietras previously produced “Arlanda” together on Size Records, and James is fresh from his last release “Orinoco” with Thomas Gold. We hope this is the beginning of many goosebump-inducing collaborations as part of the Protocol family!
Nicky Romero and the Protocol crew can always be counted on for cutting-edge new music, melding a variety of genres for exciting and unexpected sounds. Their new additions feel right at home with that mantra, bringing a medley of trap, future bass, and R&B to the imprint’s already robust mix while still pumping out plenty of classic progressive jams. Corey James may be a protege of Steve Angello‘s, but he is also no stranger to Protocol. In addition to his many releases – including his cult hit “Make the Crowd Go” (also released on Protocol) – James‘s remix of track “Only For Your Love” with Nicky Romero & Florian Picasso has surpassed 1 million streams on Spotify. With his dynamic production skills and knack for old school progressive melodies with a modern twist, James is a star player on the Protocol roster. Swedishartist David Pietras makes his debut on Protocol with “To Live” after making waves with his remix of Jack Wins‘s “Freewheelin’,” amassed over 400k plays on Spotify. With new music coming out almost weekly, Protocol has been on fire this summer. Follow them on Soundcloud and Facebook to never miss a release!
To anyone who has ever had a heartbreak they long to connect with again, TELYKast has a new anthem for you. The talented trio’s latest release “Talk Again” hits right in the feels with a combination of sumptuous future bass soundscapes, organic instrumentals and impassioned vocals; it’s enough to send you into the best kind of emotional catharsis, which it turns out is exactly what TELYKast intended. “Talk again was written after a fresh heartbreak. Even though the whole song came together in one day almost 2 years ago, we spent a lot of time perfecting the musical parts to convey the feeling that the lyrics do,” the guys explained about the track’s creation. “We feel everyone has had that person that they wish they could “Talk Again” with. We hope this song brings them one step closer to doing so.” “Talk Again” follows TELYKast‘s recent “Summertime,” a sultry ode to the golden season on the California coast. The trio’s music has been featured on Spotify‘s New Music Friday, MINT, Fresh Electronic, Dancepop and Trap Nation playlists, and we’re sure that “Talk Again” will be on heavy rotation this season.
TELYKast is a trio who truly lives for and understands music in all aspects of their lives. From turning their apartment bedrooms into professional music studios to insisting that any sound can be made with a live instrument (these guys don’t do synths), TELYKast are true artists through and through. The group consists of Trevor, who grew up playing gigs with metal bands, former Manhattan jazz guitarist Linus, and Kyle, who began his DJing career after falling in love with electronic music in Sweden. Their diverse backgrounds shine through in their music, which is all played and recorded exclusively with live instruments. TELYKast has an impressive track record early in their career: they’ve released on RCA/Disruptor Records, Lowly Palace, and Spinnin Records, Ultra Music and Enhanced Records thus far, and their track “You & I” with Shara has amassed over 4 million streams on Spotify to date. Add the fact that they’ve sold out every one of their live shows so far and it’s easy to see that TELYKast are well on their way to stardom. The trio have partnered with Amuse to release five new tracks through this fall, so keep an eye out for more new music from this promising electronic/pop group!
Marc Benjamin is back on Protocol with the second release on the label, another uplifting, energetic progressive house jewel titled “Unbreakable Hearts” featuring the crystalline vocals of singer Shanee. Benjamin teamed up with fellow Dutch producer N3ON for the new track. It stars lush and cinematic soundscapes that build to a bouncing, energetic drop, making “Unbreakable Hearts” a prime candidate for becoming a crowd favorite during live sets. Benjamin debuted on Protocol earlier this year with his track “Devil in Disguise” in collaboration with JPB, which ventured into the RnB-influenced realm and proved that Benjamin is capable of a myriad of sophisticated styles. Keep an eye out for more new music from Marc Benjamin on Protocol coming soon.
Veteran producer Marc Benjamin has a reputable taste for impeccable productions, evidenced in his past successes with his previous collaborations with heavyweights Laidback Luke, Benny Benassi, and Yves V, and his remix of Zedd‘s worldwide hit “The Middle.” He’s performed around the world, including Ultra Bali and a 5 year residency at Amsterdam‘s club Escape, and released on Spinnin’ Records and Steve Angello‘s Size Records. Benjamin‘s dynamic productions have piqued the attention of industry heavyweights like Tiesto, Zedd, Martin Garrix, Steve Angello and Avicii, so we can’t wait to see what comes next from him as part of the Protocol family!

Snails also just dropped the fourth release from his upcoming remix album of “The Shell: Remixes,” and it’s an epic spin on the original. Kill the Noise takes on remixing Snails and NGHTMRE‘s track “Only Want U” featuring Akylla, cycling through a myriad of bass music’s dirtiest tricks: stabbing synths, mechanical percussion, hardstyle-esque basslines and a warped intermittent vocal sampling. Earlier this summer, Snails and Kill the Noise collaborated on “Shake the Ground” featuring Sullivan King and Jonah Kay, which was the first release on the king of Vomitstep‘s new label Slugz Music. Since then, Snails has released the first three remixes from the album – including Funtcase‘s “Forever” remix, Megalodon‘s version of “Russian Roulette,” and Virtual Riot‘s take on “WFSU” – on Slugz Music.
Frédérik Durand, better known as his DJ/producer alias Snails, is truly an artist whose music has no boundaries. After spending years crafting music featuring the most grimy sounds and unrelenting bass – including working with Skrillex and Diplo on their Grammy-winning album – his “Vomitstep” sound found a home on labels like OWSLA, Dim Mak and Monstercat – along with a cult following that truly embraces it. His singles “Into the Light” feat. Sarah Hudson, “WFSU” with Waka Flocka Flame, and “Only Want U” with NGHTMRE and Akylla set the stage for his game-changing debut album “The Shell,” which served as a testimony to exactly who Frédérik is as an artist. Now with the launch of Slugz Music, Snails has a home for his music and others’ that is as outrageous as they want it to be. “I want to release music that really inspires me and is just as weird as me,” he quips. Stay on the lookout for more upcoming, blackout-worthy releases from Snails and Slugz Music!

Set for release on 7th September, ‘Crown’ channels elements of grime and hip hop into a booming cinematic commentary on the ethics of the British empire, the relevance of the monarchy and existing hegemonies of our time.
Rapper and one-half of the rising artist/producer duo, K Mensah recalls “The idea for the track was conceived upon hearing the news that Wiley had been awarded an MBE which he accepted…it got me thinking what does it actually stand for and who are the real kings and queens of our modern day society?”
Ominous, claustrophobic and on the front foot from the off, ‘Crown’ simmers with psychotic energy as Pete.H’s whirring, skittering production of beats, bass and unnerving synths, underpin rapper Mensah’s cryptic opening salvo. The accompanying video compliments the track with a stark monochrome aesthetic, Mensah upfront, Pete.H in the shadows, with biblical references and projected images of street protests and historical figureheads adding weight to the message. As the track progresses it rises to its name then drops into a wide-screen chorus of sub-bass and brass, with haunting choral synths offering siren-calls to the establishment. The production feels like the soundtrack to a revolution and conjures the kind of atmosphere Hans Zimmer would be proud of.
Although Makola’s roots lay in Finland and Ghana, the duo have crafted a sound, forged in London, which is an irrepressible explosion of hip-hop and afrobeat. Their debut single released in mid 2017, ‘This Is London’, was jumped on by Beats 1 DJ Julie Adenuga, hailing it as one of her “tracks of the summer”. The record went on to secure support from Radio 1’s Phil Taggart and Mistajam, and playlisted by BBC Radio 1Xtra as their BBC Introducing’s track of the week. The grimier second single ‘Black Man Statues’ found a place on Spotify’s Grime Shutdown playlist and featured as Mistajam’s ‘Inbox Fresh’ as well as being supported by Huw Stephens at Radio 1. As a result of just two track releases, the vibrancy and effect of their music awarded them their first headline gig at KOKO in Camden, which sold out. They have since gone on to perform at major festivals across the UK and Europe, bringing their music to life on stage as they deliver unrelenting musical and theatrical entertainment, giving them a reputation as an act you must see.
Back with new single ‘Crown’, which is being released via Leaf Music, the track balances moments of menace and levity and ultimately asks a simple question that needs answered: “Who wear the Crown now?”
See Makola live at their headline show at Camden Assembly on 7th September and the Leaf Music/Karousel showcaseat headCRASH, Reeperbahn Festival, on 21st September.
Novo Amor has unveiled the official video for his new single “Utican”, which premiered earlier today on The FADER. The track is the latest to be taken from his forthcoming debut album Birthplace, to be released on October 19 via AllPoints. Much like the video for the album’s title track – which seeks to address the monolithic problem of plastic in our oceans – and was awarded Independent Video of the Year at the AIM Awards earlier this week – the storyline for the “Utican” video also centers on a topical and emotional issue, befitting of the cinematic nature of Novo Amor’s music.
Speaking about the “Utican” video concept in more detail, director Ethan Graham shares:
It’s a culmination of meanings – from a young boy’s realization of looming adulthood and sexuality, to he and his father coming to terms with the loss of his mother. His memory of her is slowly deteriorating and the only way he can hold onto this is by wearing her dresses and applying her make-up the way she used to when he was a little boy. It’s an emotive coming-of-age story that nurtures a masculine relationship in a beautifully delicate way

Denzel Curry is back with Vengeance in his heart and he’s taking no prisoners.
Featuring ZillaKami & JPEGMAFIA, this visual is dark, sick and twisted as hell. The track is bananas, with a bounce that keeps your neck bopping. But the visuals are not safe for work or in any family environments so watch this in the privacy of your own phone. Check out this visual and share your thoughts below. What do you think? Is this over the top visually?

50 Cent has continued to make a name for himself far after his “Get Rich Or Die Tryin” days.
The Jamaica Queens native has created the blueprint to generate wealth with some almost every business move made since his move into the industry. Over the past two years Curtis Jackson’s show “Power” has been a household favorite from the twisted storyline to the amazing cast.
Starz Network has expressed enormous frustration with 50 Cent, including blaming him for leaking episodes before debut. At the moment it’s reported that Starz blames Jackson for the release of the fifth season finale. 50 has always had no issues talking in public to address issues and took to Instagram speak on the issue.
