    Meet “Fantasy Soul Singer” QUIÑ

     

    Ahead of her showcase at The Mint on January 26, imaginative and ethereal “fantasy soul” songstress QUIÑ has already caught the attention of mega media outlets with her genre bending storytelling and sultry vocals. Last fall she released her debut EP Galactica, a fusion of pop, electronic and R&B soundwaves, culling a myriad of inspiprations from Aaliyah, Celine Dion, TLC and Ciara. In a recent interview with Vibe, QUIÑ shared that “Aaliyah and Ciara were the ones that let me realize that belting your voice doesn’t prove that you can sing, and using falsetto doesn’t mean you can’t sing. I learned this meaning of tone.”

    So, whether she’s belting or singing falsetto, the 20-year-old LA native is ushering in a new wave, having caught the initial attention of G-Eazy back in 2015 for their collaborative effort, “Think About You,” a standout from his sophomore album When It’s Dark Out. 

    Reminiscent of Erykah Badu and Corrine Bailey Rae, she has been featured from the likes of The FADER, OkayPlayer, VIBE and more thanks to her reinvention and forward thinking sound that posits her as an artist to watch out for in 2017. Stream her latest single, “Over Again” above and stay tuned for the official release of her forthcoming EP, Dream Girl this spring.

According to a new survey, there are certain things women like to hear more than those involuntary moans and groans.

    On a mission to find out fascinating facts about sexual behaviors, Forktip.com surveyed over 5,000 people on their sexual habits, and came across some interesting results—namely, what women like to hear in the sack.

    Apparently, the number one thing women like to hear in bed is: “Who’s your daddy?” or anything else that encourages her to call you “daddy.”

    I shit you not, my friends. That one cliché line will make her panties drop faster than you can comprehend why she loves calling you daddy so much.

    The second sexiest thing that can come out of your mouth is something along the lines of “Damn, you’re so tight,” which is a turn-on for ladies because it subtly lets them know they don’t have a large hallway for a vagina, and instead have a glorious box that hugs your penis in just the right heavenly way. Who wouldn’t be flattered by that?

    Lastly, the third hottest thing you can say to a woman during s*x is how much you like having s*x with her, because all women want to feel wanted. Simple as that.

    Next up, the study looked at the physical traits that women pay attention to and enjoy the most, and they are not surprising at all.

    Turns out the most important thing for a woman’s partner to have is a big d**k. Surprised? I’m not. The women also reported that they like it if their man is athletic and fit, as well as tall. So basically, they want to sleep with an NBA player. Again, not surprising.

    But on a side note, it was found that, on average, men love a woman with a healthy body figure, a big b**ty, and firm b**bs. Ahh, classic.

    The survey investigated a lot of other areas, which you can see here. But to sum up, some other random findings of this study include:

    • 24.1 percent of participants would participate in an o**y with their current partner, only after crushing a few drinks.
    • 56 percent of participants would never, ever have group s*x.
    • 27.7 percent of the women in the study would have a girl-on-girl-on-dude threesome with their current partner.
    • Most people like to get drunk, drink coffee, or do drugs before s*x. Or do all three, because it’s fun.

    Many still love Madonna, but let’s admit it, sometimes the Material Girl still goes off the rails. And social media isn’t a great environment for a celebrity who even at 58 still has impulse issues, especially when expressing politically-charged sentiments.

    Those feelings seem to be what inspired Madonna to post the image above on her social media feeds a couple of days ago. It seems fairly obvious that we’re not looking at her artfully shaven mound — we seem to be looking at the skin tone of a much younger woman.

    That didn’t stop some Twitter users from acting as if it was indeed a shot of Madonna herself and expressing a distinct lack of excitement about that. British journalist Piers Morgan, admittedly not known for being the nicest guy around and controversial in his own right, characterized much of the reaction.

    Many of the funniest reactions, however, simply used a choice animated GIF to express their own dismay.

    Madonna can keep her weird outbursts, we’ll just choose to remember the good times — which thankfully she recently reminded us of with some Instagrams she posted from a photo shoot with Harpers Bazaar.

    We still don’t know, for what it’s worth, if she ever delivered on her promise to Hillary Clinton voters.

    Just in time for the new year, Denver raised-Los Angeles based artist, Damien The Architect, joins forces with Hadj, who hails from Albany, N.Y to create a conceptual, vibrant and electric project titled HEY!. The project was made in two weeks, though the level of quality and content would lead you to believe this was long in the making.

    The project features one soul appearance from DSE’s own, DRMR, and production is handled mostly by 404 Loudpack and also from Teller Bank$, Drunken Killah, and Joogy Music.

    Reebok presented a collection in collaboration with London-based label Cottweiler. As a part of Pitti Uomo, the two labels came up with a range of technical and fashionable pieces that are both functional while looking great.     Mercedes- AMG Announces 1,000 HP Formula 1 Powered Hypercar

    After just recently getting a look at Mercedes-AMG’s 2018 GT C Edition 50, now the company has announced another upcoming vehicle, Project ONE, a 1,000-horsepower Formula 1-powered hypercar built for the track and the road.

    The all-wheel-drive two-seater makes use of a turbocharged V-6 setup from a Formula 1 race car, as well as KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) and electric motors.

    For now, all we have to go by is an Instagram post from Mercedes AMG, which details Project ONE as “the most fascinating two seater that will ever hit the road.”

    And while the hypercar is still under development, it is rumored to be the most expensive AMG ride to date.

    Lady Liberty Will Be A Black Woman On U.S. Coin

    It looks like the U.S. Mint has finally decided to place a black woman on U.S. currency after many years of hesitation. Representing “Lady Liberty” (who graces Ellis Island to this day), depicts the actual historical account of the “world famous” monuments true roots.

    The U.S. Mint celebrates its 225th anniversary of existence by minting this exclusive new addition to it’s lineup. The 24K gold coin is stated to be the first in a series of coins (also carrying images of Asian-American, Hispanic-American, and Indian-American women, says the U.S. Mint.

    And here’s the even better news: it’s a $100 USD coin!

    As dope and historical as this is, many years have passed where some Americans didn’t fully embrace this idea previously. Last year, the news of Harriet Tubman being placed on the $20 dollar bill made many non-minority groups upset. Hey, blacks aren’t complaining about Franklins, Jacksons and Grants! Money is money, and should be used for a few things, spending, stacking and investing.

    … And of course paying back your momma that loan she gave you last week for the car payment you missed.

    As CNN pin-points that, there are only two coins with women on them in circulation. Let’s just embrace the diversity being put in effect on currency, shall we all? But of course, in the land of Capitalism, people will always have an opinion.

    Set to drop April 6th 2017. Keep your eyes open for this release. The real question is how hard will it be to get your hands on one?
