Blueface Probation: Rapper Sentenced to Three Years for Las Vegas Shooting

The Respect My Cryppin rapper has landed on probation for up to three years after being arrested for a shooting outside of a Vegas strip club last October. The “Thotiana” singer was sentenced on Monday and will have to avoid the Las Vegas Strip and downtown area unless it’s for work-related reasons.

    Rapper Blueface’s Probation

The rapper’s probation also bans him from drinking or using drugs, possessing weapons, and contacting the victim of the shooting. Johnathan Porter, better known by his stage name, Blueface, was arrested in November 2022 after he was accused of firing a gun at or into an occupied structure.

The incident took place near Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club on Sunset Road. Kentabius Traylor told police that members of the rapper’s entourage shot at his truck after he made an audible joke about them talking to women in a cheap vehicle. He claimed that a bullet grazed his left hand during the altercation.

He initially faced an attempted murder charge, but that was dropped as part of a plea deal. In July, he pleaded guilty to battery and discharging a firearm at or into an occupied building. The judge handed down the three-year probation sentence on Monday, and it’s expected that he won’t be going to prison.

The courtroom was packed with fans of the rapper who came to show their support. The judge said that she hopes the rapper will be able to turn things around and get back on track in his music career. She also urged him to take care of his daughter, who will be attending college in the fall.

A video of the bizarre moment when a witness finished her victim impact statement went viral after the hearing. The woman snapped a selfie with the rapper while he stood behind her and the pulpit. It’s unclear why she did this, but the judge ruled that it wasn’t appropriate.

Despite the probation sentence, Blueface will still face another charge. He will appear in court this week for a felony robbery case. This case stems from an incident where he allegedly tried to film his girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, with her cell phone.

If he’s found guilty of the felony charges, he could be facing up to six months in jail. He’s currently on $50,000 bail in the case and will be back in court next month. He’s also been ordered not to use social media while the investigation is ongoing.

In the past, he’s used his Instagram account to post about his new son, daughter, and his love life. He’s been posting photos of himself and Chrisean since the birth in early September. The couple is also expecting a second child this year.
