Blueface Talks Jail Experience and His Big Plans After Release

Blueface is making the most of his time behind bars, sharing raw details about his prison life while looking ahead to his future. The “Thotiana” artist has been candid about his incarceration, describing it as a “break from responsibility” rather than a setback. With his release expected in July 2025, he’s already planning his return to music, promising fans that his next chapter will be bigger, bolder, and lyrically stronger than ever before.

Unlike the fast-paced lifestyle of a rap star, prison life for Blueface is much slower. Currently serving time at North Kern State Prison in Delano, California, he has found ways to entertain himself. He spends his days watching TV, making phone calls, and indulging in prison snacks like Doritos and Cajun chicken ramen.

In a phone interview with the “Effective Immediately” podcast, he shared a humorous take on his daily activities:

“I be jacking off, watching TV, eating Doritos, and using the phone. That’s pretty much it.”

Unlike many inmates, Blueface is housed in an administrative segregation unit, meaning he has his private cell. He gets up to seven hours outside his cell daily and has access to classes and recreational activities. He has even joked about his physical transformation, revealing that he’s gained weight and cut off all his hair.

“I’m like 180 right now; I’ve never been 180 before. I’m getting sized up,”

He said.

His diet consists of commissary treats like donuts, cookies, and ramen, and he watches talk shows like “The Sherri Show” and “The Jennifer Hudson Show.” However, not everything has been smooth sailing—he recently lost his video call privileges after a controversial phone conversation.

One of the biggest challenges for Blueface is being away from his son. His child’s mother, Chrisean Rock, is also incarcerated, making it even harder for him to maintain a relationship with his young child.

Despite their situation, he keeps in contact with Chrisean, even revealing that they talk frequently on three-way calls:

“We stay on the three-way, just got off the phone with her. She’s doin’ alright, she’ll be out soon, sooner than me.”

Their child, Chrisean Jr., is being cared for by family members. However, Blueface hopes that once Chrisean is released, she will bring their son to visit him. In the meantime, he relies on updates and pictures to stay connected.

His mother, Karlissa Saffold, has been vocal about the situation. She believes this time apart could be a blessing in disguise, saying:

“Thank you, Lord, for separating and sitting him down to prayerfully get his mind right, matured, and on track.”

Initially, Blueface estimated he would be released around March or April 2025. However, in a recent Instagram update, he stated,

“I’ll be out in July. Don’t blink.”

His official sentence ends in January 2026, but he could be out much sooner with credits for time served.

The rapper has clarified that he isn’t letting prison slow down his career. He stays connected with fans and industry insiders, ensuring his music remains relevant. While he hasn’t revealed specific details about his post-prison plans, one thing is sure—he’s ready to return more potent than ever.

“I’m chilling, man. I’m in my environment… I’m always soak up and adapt to it, so it ain’t really nothing,”

He talked about his prison experience. With his signature confidence, Blueface is already looking ahead, hinting at new music and possibly even more significant moves in the entertainment world.
