Bow Wow Wants To Revive BET

Recently, fans of the BET Network have taken notice of its gradual decline in providing good content. It’s obvious that the tv network isn’t what it used to be back in the early 2000s. BET once amplified the black voices of the Hip-Hop culture. Luckily, fans aren’t the only ones aware of these glaring issues. Former rapper Bow Wow revealed on Twitter all his plans to revive the BET Network. He even hinted taking on a big Top Executive position at the network. The 33-year-old is making serious moves in his late career.

As a major icon in the Hip-Hop industry, it makes sense that Bow Wow would apply for the Top Exec position at the BET Network. The former rapper voiced his frustrations on Twitter about the lack of new and relevant content. He even revealed just how far the BET Network has declined. “BET forgot what made them HOT! The MUSIC!!! breaking artist etc… music shows that mattered. Now it’s like forever. Only sitcoms. Music on BET only during award shows, like 3 times a year. That’s crazy! The 33-year-old also said this year’s BET Music Awards had 1 million views, but CBS network bumped it to 3 million. With major issues like these, it’s no wonder Bow Wow is demanding a revival.

Bow Wow Wants New Artists To Feel At Home

With so many demands in place, Bow Wow is making promotion of new artists his top priority. The Like Mike actor has plans to revive the 106 & Park show, which helped amplify black voices and Hip-Hop culture. He hopes to provide artists like Mulatto, Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Baby a platform. The reality show gained a reputation for introducing the public to up-and-coming Hip-Hop artists.

Even Bow Wow got his start in the music business from making appearances on 106 & Park. In fact, the former rapper released his debut album “Beware of The Dog” just two weeks after 106&Park’s premiere. Sources say that his first 10 music videos stayed in the #1 spot on the show. Clearly the countdown series hits home for the “Puppy Love” rapper.

Additionally, Bow Wow also wants to revive shows like Rap City, BET: Uncut and even Freestyle Fridays. The 33-year-old voiced so many demands that he eventually got called into a meeting with the network. Stay tuned to see how it goes.
